The true-story La Bruja Y El Cari Papa is based on Yaara Handler experiences in Mexico, 2004-2006, Yaara, an ambitious young Israeli architect in New York, is forced to give up on her career and risk her life in order to get her brother released from Mexican prison and save his clothing import business form his many enemies, only to find out that her brother is in fact, the real enemy.
